JOB REPORT – THE EMAIL TO MY BUSINESS DOMAIN IS SAYING IT IS FULL – Job description is that the email account connected to one of my domains is saying it is full, now the thing with this issue is that there are two accounts and one is operating fine and this is the one that is mostly used, this same problem occurred a few months ago which was rectified with the emails hosting provider. Now the same issue has reoccurred so we need need to find out the cause of the issue.

Engineer notes

  • Account in question is now locked whilst we review this situation
  • Any of your personal devices connected with the account in question may lock you out and display some error messages, this is fine we are looking into it….
  • Account accessed
  • Emails downloaded, took 6 hours
  • Transfer of emails to you via a different method is now ready
  • Once this is done we can offer you a much better email solution to prevent this from reoccurring
  • Awaiting your response
  • We have decided to not upgrade and import the emails into a machine locally
  • The machine has older software so the the import and export method has to be done using an older way which will add some more days to this job

If your computer is important to you I suggest you do daily backups but if worst comes to worst I recommend you give these guys a call.

Job Report – MacBook Hard Drive Issue – An Apple MacBook Pro hard drive needs to be replaced, time for delivery of the system to us is set for Monday 5th January 2018 at 11am, thanks for using us!

We will endeavour to get your machine repaired within a decent amount of time for the best possible cost whilst using only the best equipment in your machine, we can discuss all options available to you so you can choose which type of drive and which size you would like.

Solid state drives are much faster but cost more and hard disk drives are much cheaper but slower due to it being a more older technology. This is something you can decide on tomorrow after we call you with the exact prices.

  • This system has a smashed screen also that i was not aware about until delivery
  • I have discussed the cost with the repair and have been given the go ahead on this work

Macbook Repair – Customer review – Angela Martin – Thank you so much for the repair carried out to my motherboard, I was quoted by somebody else in Manchester that this would cost £375 for a replacement MacBook Pro Motherboard however Advance where able to repair my motherboard for a fraction of the cost and since the replacement was done it’s been working absolutely fine now, however the battery only lasts for just over an hour but I understand that this is a separate issue which I will bring back in soon to fix, this a much better solution than paying over a grand for a new one!

Cyber Security – Customer Review – Nabeel – Amazing work guys!!! I had a problem today with the server to our business in that it was password protected and it also had other more advanced security in place on a few different levels apparently according to Tom. Since we lost contact with our last IT guy we were stuck and not able to access the server in anyway after we noticed a fault had occurred, so the most tech savvy guy in the office thought he would take a look and couldnt do anything due to the security. I called these guys and two cyber security engineers were able to regain access and control of the server once again!!!! I could not believe it as it was password protected and the files had some sort of password protection too, I was absolutely amazed. It actually took them 20 minutes to get through the security and regain control of the system. The funniest thing was they did not even need to be in the building to do this they were able to start the work and finish it very promptly, I was gobsmacked to be honest at the lack of our own security and how they were able to remotely carry this out!!! They upgraded the security and they fixed the original fault we where having with the companies emails. I will call tomorrow as we are now looking for new IT support if that something you offer on a retainer in the same as what our last IT guy did for us, thanks so much again guys, I will call you tomorrow
